Spring VCTM Conference a Huge Success

VCTMLogo

The annual spring VCTM Conference hosted by V2CTM at JMU on  March 14, 15 was a huge success.  Nearly 1,000 teachers attended the conference including approximately 500 from the V2CTM region.   Program chairman Kyle Schultz had arranged for over 150 excellent sessions for teachers to choose from.

The conference ran extremely smoothly thanks to the excellent planning by Kyle and Conference chairman LouAnn Lovin and the many hard working volunteers who assisted them.  LouAnn sent a thank you note to the many V2CTM volunteers that included this message:

I was approached Thursday, Friday, and Saturday by many people who expressed how much they were enjoying the conference and their appreciation for the work the local group was doing to host the conference. It is a pleasure to work with people who jump right in and do tasks that need to be done and then come back to do more. Your hard manual labor, positive attitudes, and good humor were much appreciated by many but most of all by me.

V2CTM is especially grateful to the hospitality provided by James Madison University.  The facilities in the ISAT/HHS complex were superb and widely appreciated by conference attendees.  The JMU food service provided tasty food a’plenty for those in attendance.  The vendors seemed as pleased as the conference attendees.
